Some yards just need a full reset. Not a quick cleanup - a real start-over. New grass, new plants, a proper irrigation system, and a walkway that actually makes sense. That's exactly what we tackled here.
We laid fresh sod across the lawn area and got an irrigation system in the ground so the grass has what it needs to establish and stay healthy without the homeowner having to think about it. That part matters a lot more than people realize. A beautiful lawn without reliable water is just a short-term win.
The stepping stone path through the naturalized area was one of our favorite details on this one. Flat stone set into a gravel base, running through the mature trees toward the back of the property. It gives you a clean, dry way to move through that space without cutting up the lawn or turning a muddy shortcut into a problem.
On the foundation beds, we cleared everything out and started fresh - new plants spaced out properly, fresh mulch throughout. The ornamental grasses tucked along the building give the beds some height and texture without needing a lot of care year to year. That's the kind of planting that pays for itself.
The goal with a job like this is to hand the property back to the owner in a state where it's genuinely easier to live with. Mow the lawn, let the irrigation do its job, enjoy the path. That's it.
